Vendor Code of Conduct and Waiver

Vendor Code of Conduct*

Welcome to our neighborhood! We are delighted to have you here. We ask you please adhere to the following code of conduct as a vendor.

Be respectful of your space and ours. Thank you for staying in your allotted space, respecting your neighbors, and keeping your space clean.

Be professional, personable, and businesslike in your conduct to customers and other vendors.

Be courteous to your neighbors by keeping your music down, not dumping any liquids that could run downhill (including water), and not disrupting other vendors customers.

Be aware and follow of our specific vendor rules. They are:

- Checking in and out according to the approved procedure
- Staying until the set time of breakdown or closing
- If you are a food vendor, having all your health and food service permits in place and listing the Historic Mississippi Business Association as an additional insured.
-If you are serving alcohol, having all your OLCC permits in place and listing the Historic Mississippi Business Association as an additional insured.
- Electricity is not provided and no generators are allowed
- Have your vehicle off the street by 9:30 a.m.
- Inform Fair staff of rogue vendors so they can be removed
- Vendor may choose to start breaking down at 6:00 pm
- The vendor hours end at 8:00 pm and you must be off the street by 9:30 pm
- Fair staff have the right to ask you to leave at any time

By becoming a vendor you agree to these rules and code of conduct.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY*

As a vendor, I understand that this waiver of liability must be signed in order for me to participate in the Mississippi Ave. Street Fair. I understand and acknowledge that my services will be provided only at the booth site assigned to me and may consist of all or some of the following Vending Services: arts & crafts sales, food vending, garage sales, not for profit fundraising activities.

I understand that in order to receive a booth site(s), I must assume all responsibility and risk associated with all conditions, hazards and potential dangers in, on or about a site, whether they are open and obvious or concealed.

I hereby RELEASE, DISCHARGE AND WAIVE, any claims, actions or suits of any character, name and description, that I may have against the Historic Mississippi Avenue Business Association, the Mississippi Street Fair, Mile Point Event Productions, LLC, the Fair coordinator, and its planning committee, contractors, agents and employees and owners/lessees of a booth’s site, as a result of any injuries, damages or death received or sustained by me in connection with the Vendor Services performed on, in or while I am participation in any Mississippi Ave. Street Fair activities.

I hereby agree to INDEMNIFY, DEFEND AND HOLD HARMLESS, Historic Mississippi Avenue Business Association, the Mississippi Street Fair, Mile Point Event Productions, LLC, the Fair coordinator, its planning committee, officers, contractors, agents and employees and owners/lessees of a booth’s site, from and against any and all liabilities, losses, claims, costs, expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees), damages, obligation, judgments or deficiencies of every kind and description, contingent or otherwise, resulting from or arising out of any of my acts or failure to act in connection with my services provided during the Mississippi Ave. Street Fair activities.
